Hollywood hunks Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio are in a tussle over the rights to the same documentary film.
Brad Pitt’s production company called Plan B is planning to make a feature film based on James Scurlock’s critically acclaimed documentary ‘Maxed Out’. The documentary highlights America’s obsession with credit card debt. A representative of Plan B contacted Scurlock’s agent showing Pitt’s business inclination towards the documentary and docu’s companion book, ‘Maxed Out: Hard Times, Easy Credit and the Era of Predatory Lenders.’
The other side of the story reveals Titanic fame Leonardo DiCaprio’s similar interests in the documentary. Scurlock has also been contacted by DiCaprio’s production Company Appian Way Productions.
Although none of the production companies has finalized any deals for the film’s rights, DiCaprio’s publicist said,
This story is bull. It sounds like someone is creating a bidding war to try and make a buck.
