Along with high profile architects, actor Brad Pitt was in New Orleans this Friday. He urged people to think green. He has selected a series of environmentally friendly housing projects they wants to build up in the city. New Orleans was badly struck by hurricane almost eleven months back, eighty percent of the city was devasted.
Brad Pitt said housing and construction were the major sources of pollution in the area. He said that the need of the hour is to build efficiently and take the nation where it should be going. He was stunned to see the slow pace of construction in New Orleans. Brad underwrote and chaired the design competition for eco-friendly housing with an aim of creating a pattern for New Orleans.
