Here’s a very interesting piece of information for all you admirers (especially Eve’s descendants) of the soccer legend, David Beckham. The official 2009 calendar of this six-foot tall, accomplished midfielder seems to be there in the stores for you already. I don’t know if it’s the magical handiwork of photographer Anthony Mandler, or the genetic endowments of this macho football genius, or a perfect combination of both; which has resulted in some irresistible pictures of this star footballer.

One suggestion for all my sisters who drool over Beckham (thankfully, I am not one of them)- if you can manage to spend this New Year’s eve with him then go ahead and have a nice time. But it’s a pity, that there is a high probability of wifey Victoria Beckham being a part of the rendezvous! Unfortunately for you, I don’t think there will be anything to keep Posh Spice away from her husband that evening. So, here’s an alternative that you might care to consider. Get a calendar of this sports superhero and usher in the New Year in its presence- I know it’s a compromise- but if you really care for someone even a compromised version of that person is going to keep you happy. Right?
