Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), which was supposed to be the destination of middle aged men with scruffy hair, has become a regular for young Hollywood starlets, the most famous of them all being Lindsay Lohan.

The poster girl who claims to be a regular at AA, is more often seen stumbling out of pubs, late in the night, putting a big question mark on the relevance of AA? Rehab has actually become the latest destination for the young, hip and famous.

A chunk of the young party-hard crowd under 25, who attend sessions at AA cont do so quit their boozing, but to prove their hip and hedonistic attitude.

Lindsay Lohan admitted last month, ‘I’ve been attending AA for over a year.’ ‘You know, a lot of the people she hangs out with go, and it’s a positive thing,’ Dina Lohan said when asked about her daughter’s AA attendance.

The frequent AA attendance hardly reflects on her recent conduct, as she was famously ticked off for her constant partying by the producers of the movie Georgia Rule. Recently, she was too engrossed club-hopping in London, when she was spotted guzzling hard drinks.

I guess AA is actually losing its meaning and relevance by the day.
