This gay spirited award winning actor and comedian seems to be always involved in ‘gay affairs’. In March it was his commenting on Ryan Phillip (who played a gay teenager in the soap opera One Life to Live) to show his ‘gayest look’ on The Tonight Show and now it is his support for gay marriage that has drawn public attention.
Jay Leno, host of the Emmy award winning NBC TV series The Tonight Show is heading for a landmark gay pub on Robertson Boulevard, at the Abbey in West Hollywood to attend the wedding ceremony of a group of gay and lesbian pairs organized by the Mathew Shepherd Foundation and hosted by award winning acting T.R. Knight. The ceremony that is being held to begin the National Gay Pride Month will be presided by West Hollywood Mayor Jeffery Prang and witnessed by Shepherd’s mother Judy. Designer Udi Behr will be presenting the guests with Erase Hate pendants from his Love and Pride line of jewelry.
It is expected that T.R. Knight will tie the knot with his boyfriend UCLA student Marc Cornelsen who first met him at Mathew Shepherd foundation’s award ceremony last October.
Jay Leno would attend the ceremony to support the legalization of gay marriages by the California Supreme Court. A spokesperson says,
He said that he is from Massachusetts and that the sky did not fall in their state when marriage equality became the law of the land there. He wants to impress upon everyone here in California that the sky will not fall here either.
In a way this move of Jay Lenon would also stop people in voting for the reversal of the law in the upcoming ballot initiative.
The group marriage concept seems to be more about asserting marriage equality rights rather than getting into the matrimonial vows.

Probably, Jay Leno has a tincture of homosexuality or attraction to men.
Everyone has the right to love and be loved but marriage is the highest form of relationship that belongs only to a man and a woman. This is biblical. The real essence of marriage can never be shared among gay couples.
Well, gay marriges are now getting recognition everywhere. Its correct that marriage is an institution in which man and woman come up to live life together and our soceity has been following these things from long long years ago. But rightnow condition is changing, peoples choices are even changing, everyone has right to live their life as they want so we should now accept the reality.
Hello Mynard and Kalpana,
I feel both of you are correct in your own ways. Now since marriage is being interpreted in so many ways, I guess it makes one think about the true purpose of marriage for which there is no standard definition. If its about companionship then it can be found in both the types of relationships. If its about completeness in terms of forming a family and growing with it a hetero-sexual relationship is preferable.
