Golden Globe winner, Academy Award nominee and Dreamgirls actress Jennifer Hudson is to become the first black singer to appear on the cover of US fashion magazine Vogue.
Hudson will make history by appearing on the cover of the magazine’s annual Power Issue next month.
The Dreamgirls star, Hudson, 25, will become the third ever black woman to appear on the cover of the iconic fashion magazine after legendary chat-show host Oprah Winfrey and Oscar winning actress Halle Berry.
Hudson was shot for the publication by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz at Harlem’s Apollo Theater in New York.
Hudson has won both a Golden Globe and Bafta for best actress in a supporting role for her portrayal as Effie White in the big screen adaptation of broadway musical Dreamgirls.
