She was beauteous as Ava Gardner in Aviator. She was also stunning as the sabre swinging vampire in The Underworld series. She even made no brainers like Van Helsing and Yankee jingoisms like Pearl Harbor watchable! She has made it to numerous “most beautiful”, “hottest” or “sexiest” lists. Yet she has a horrible self image! As the readers might be aware, she is refusing to bare her posterior for her latest flick called Whiteout. She thinks she is fat and so is forcing the producers to shell out a fortune to get a suitable “butt double”!
This in fact can be seen as an indication of an alarming trend where anorexic people are considered epitomes of beauty and normal people suffer from inferiority complex! I am sure everybody remembers the hue and cry in the fashion world over the death of some anorexic models some time ago! Even Kate battled anorexia during her teens according to reports. So, its not understandable why she wants to get back to those days.
Anyway, I think she needs to cheer herself up and have more respect for herself. Probably she can take a clue from Paris Hilton about narcissism or might “redesign” herself a bit a la Kim Kardashian!

Well, this is really sad. But somehow I feel that her privacy and self-image should be kind of respected. She is a beautiful woman and she knows that she is not perfect. But then, she needs to understand and accept this fact. Using a body double wouldn’t quite do the trick.
