Oprah Winfrey is all set to launch a radio channel. Recently it was officially announced that she has signed a $55 million contract with XM Satellite Radio Holdings Incorporated. XM is a Washington base firm which has more than six million subscribers.
This new channel, Oprah and Friends, which is expected to be launched in September this year, will broadcast programs related to fitness, health and self improvement topics who appear on The Oprah Winfrey Show and The Oprah Winfrey magazine. Another program which will be aired once in a week will feature Gayle King with Oprah.
