Lana Clarkson must be laughing victoriously in her grave today. After a long delay, her killer, the legendary Phil Spector, has received a mighty blow from the law. He was sentenced to 19 years to life in prison today for the February 2003 shooting death of the aspiring actress.
The 69-year-old Grammy-winning, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame-sanctioned music producer was found guilty April 13 of second-degree murder of Lana Clarkson and has been held in police custody since that time. In addition to the prison term, the judge also ordered Spector to pay $16,811 in funeral expenses and $9,740 to a victim restitution fund.
I think this case should be viewed as a milestone as it serves a clear message that justice delayed is not always justice denied. Though Spector tried his best to avoid the prison bars, he is finally destined to spend the rest of his life behind those bars.

This does send a clear message that justice delayed is not always justice denied. Also a clear message justice and the scales of justice arms reach the elite, well known and those who think they are beyond the law are not. Brings to mind the Madoff affair and those who set about greed that ruins peoples lives
by financial rape and plunder that in turns erodes a nation. Murder/manslaughter of a different nature.
Very true!! And I hope more such examples will come soon and open the blind eyes of the ignorant/privileged lot.
