The latest buzz is that the world famous ‘Hips don’t lie’ Columbian diva Shakira is planning to team up with Arab-American singer Dania Youssef to hum a song about Islam. In the past she has come up with amazing records and we hope she would recreate magic all over again. The pop star will work on the English portion with the help of composer Mohamed Saad who will do the Arabic part, and the video is planned to be shot in UAE. However the publicist of the pop star brushed this scoop as false and baseless. So we really don’t know what might happen, but our fingers are crossed and we’ll hopefully get to hear one of Shakira’s new songs real soon!

Good to know that Shakira is back to creating some magic and this time it would be with some Arabic soul. If Dania is half as good as Shakira it could make for a scintillating combination. I’ve heard a few of her songs in her native language and although I don’t understand a word I still enjoy her music a lot.
Shakira has sold more than 25 million albums worldwide, and is probably the biggest star in Latin music today. If you are such a big fan you should know that in November, Shakira will release the second volume of her ”Fixation” series, an album of all new songs sung entirely in English.
