Richard Gere, the well known activist in an effort to put pressure on China for freeing Tibet is calling on for a boycott of the 2008 Beijing Olympics that are to be held in China. Gere, the good looking Hollywood actor is also the chairman of the International Campaign for Tibet has called for the campaign as he thinks that the boycott would definitely help in the needed revolution. Richard, a devout Buddhist, is already facing a ban from entering China.
The 58-year old star is known for his outspoken attitude on this issue. He said,
A general boycott to me certainly has value; it’s probably impractical, but emotionally absolutely makes sense. Why should the world reward people who are obviously so bad to their own people, so bad to other people. At some point they are going to have to face the fact that this system they have committed themselves to will not work. The kind of pretend dualism of communism and capitalism will explode at some point.
Where there is a divide among Hollywood with respect to Gere’s views, the actor is has stick to them firmly since more then a decade.

Twenty years ago Gear could be complimented to raise the question of Tibet’s Freddom .
He also hosted a private dinner to honor The Dalai Lama who then had picked up quite a lot of popularity ,the whole thing went down when USA couldnt take a serious stand on Tienaman Issue.
The Dalai Lama remains Dehlis guest although he is confidant that in the ’process of Reunification of China ,Tibet will get its free role too .
Tibet today has not determined its future graphic political role and policy in the world and towards the present new open China.
But recently due to the hard time that has begotten Washington again there is a move to attack Chinas policies to distract attention .
