Though the shooting for the film has not begun as yet but Russell Crowe has started publicizing his forthcoming Australian Film. While boasting about its romantic and emotional aspects he said that after reading the first drafts he got goosebumps and after reading it two more times he was literally into tears.
This yet untitled film will be directed by Baz Luhrmann and Nicole Kidman will be Russell’s co star in it. Its being said that this venture has a budget of nearly $40 million.

Why is it ’boasting’? Why should it be interpreted this way?
He was just reponding to a question about the script.
I think he is talking about the movie publicly because it has been difficult for Baz Lurhmann to get all the funding he needs....and it obviously helps to have an A-lister behind the project beating the drum for it. The Australian film industry really needs a major project or it will fold.
Russell has said many times that he only does scripts that have an emotional pull for him. Which is probably why he has so many fine movies on his resume.
