Well Britney spears is out of the psych ward and since her MDP seems not to be ending anytime soon, her parents are now looking at the courts to help them stabilize the popstar.
Reports suggest that while Britney is already out fighting her father’s conservatorship, her folks are looking to have the scope of the conservatorship broadened including having Britney prohibited from driving, checking in and out of hotels on her own, and inviting paparazzi in her home!
Apparently, Jamie and Lynne Spears successfully got Adam Streisand, the lawyer who was helping Britney contest the appointment of her father as her conservator while she was being held at the UCLA Medical Center, to withdraw from the case.
A spokesperson said:
At the request of Britney Spears, Adam Streisand, a Partner at Loeb & Loeb LLP, met wither yesterday to discuss her legal rights in connection with the conservatorship over her person and estate. Following that meeting, Mr. Streisand learned that the court had issued orders that prevent Ms. Spears from retaining counsel of her own choosing, and on that basis, Mr. Streisand has decided he will not represent her at this time.
The Spears’ have also asked Laura Wasser, who formerly represented Britney against ex-husband Kevin Federline in the custody case regarding the couple’s two young sons, to renew ties with Britney again. Sources reported that Britney was happy to see her old legal rep. Jamie and Lynne consider Wasser to yet be uninfluenced by the malicious intents of Britney’s sometime manager Sam Lutfi.
Wasser will surely be back in Britney’s camp if she agrees not to contest the conservatorship of her father.
Meanwhile Sam Lutfi has strengthened his sphere of influence by hiring Mark Vincent Kaplan, former counsel to K-Fed, as his attorney. Something tells me, he’s the villain of the whole Britney saga!

well, in a time when britney should get a governess, a nanny and a caretaker for her kid, she needs them herself. Celebrities I tell you - why do they have all the fun??!!
I firmly believe that Britneys’ parents should stay out of her affairs as it’s they who are responsible for her present state of mind. They gave too importance to the looks and pressure on her to put too hard an effort to Chisel them and the damage is done so they’ve no moral right to say anything now.
