Going to rehab seems to be the most ‘in’ thing in Hollywood. Paris Hilton, Britney, Lindsay Lohan are just a few names, but almost every celebrity walks in and out of the place almost making it a fad. Anyway, this time around the man we are talking about is none other than the X Files hunk David Duchovny (48) who has voluntarily entered rehab for the treatment of sex addiction.
Married to actress Tea Leoni in 1997, this actor also has two children, namely Madelaine (9) and Kyd (6). Apart from that, David’s also known for his recent Emmy nominated TV series Californication, where he plays the role of a sex-obsessed writer. However, at this point David wants everything to be hush and has requested the media to leave him and his family alone. We really doubt that the media is going to miss out on such an interesting scoop but we do wish him good luck and a speeding recovery.

I dunno if the DSM IV lists anything called ’sex addiction’ This is new. I’m sure it is a publicity stunt. Addiction is used for substances an the rehab I’m sure is making use of his celebrity status to get some publicity for themselves.. Ugh... Jeez
Stop using ‘Jeez’ on the comments sections, it increases the word count….haha :P Aren’t you a Psychology student? Don’t you know that sexual addiction is best described as a progressive intimacy disorder characterized by compulsive sexual thoughts and acts. Like all addictions, its negative impact on the addict and on family member’s increases as the disorder progresses. Over time, the addict usually has to intensify the addictive behavior to achieve the same results.
Almost half of the convicted sex offenders can be considered as sex addicts. It can range from compulsive masturbation or the extensive use of pornography/phone/internet sex services. Addiction can involve illegal activities such as exhibitionism, voyeurism, obscene phone calls, child molestation or rape. It really depends from person to person.
I love the picture of him with his wife..its hot! Hahahhaaa :P
Hey The DSM IV doesn’t recognize sex addiction as a disorder! However there are others who believe such a condition exists. There is no consensus among the medical community. So, it shows what a sick subject psychology is..
